One black and white photograph of the fifth international tugboat race on the Detroit River. The photo shows three tugboats upbound in fair weather on the river near the Windsor, Ontario, shoreline. The vessels are identified as follows (left to right): ATOMIC of McQueen Marine, Ltd., MARYLAND of the Great Lakes Towing Company, and WISCONSIN of the Great Lakes Towing Company. Many spectator boats can be seen on the river in the foreground and a Fairmile-class Royal Canadian Navy vessel #711 can be seen near the lower left corner of the photo.
