One black and white photograph (and 11" x 14" black and white copy) of student artwork at Children's House, an art center for children in Detroit. The photograph shows artwork on display for the first annual exhibition at Children's House in May of 1937. Artwork includes paintings, masks, puppets, block prints, and woodworking pieces. Small woodworking pieces can be seen on a small table in the foreground. A drinking fountain can be seen at the left side of the photograph. Handwritten blue ink text on the verso of the original reads, "Part of first annual exhibition at Childrens House (after first six months) work on this wall by 4-5 year olds." Stamped text on the verso of the original reads, "Children's House Detroit, Michigan." Text written in pencil on the verso of the copy read s, "Children's House part of first annual exhibition 4-5 year olds."
