One black and white photograph of a large billboard-style sign that advertises the American Red Cross. The sign is hanging across the four upper floors of a row of old buildings on the Monroe Block in downtown Detroit. Businesses on the ground floor include Conn's Jewelers and the Family Theatre. A typewritten label on the verso reads "Gen. Marshall's message is displayed prominently during a March fund-raising campaign in the 1950's." A black ink stamp reads "Spencer & Wyckoff, Commercial Photographers, Detroit."
