Large print of a black and white aerial photo of the Detroit riverfront centered around the foot of Woodward Avenue, as taken from over the Detroit River to the southeast. The Boblo boat COLUMBIA is docked at the foot of Woodward. The Detroit and Windsor Ferry Company buildings on the lot bordered by Woodward on the west, the river on the south, Bates Street on the east, and Atwater Street on the north have been demolished, and construction equipment is in their place. The City-County Building is under construction near the upper right corner of the photograph. The downtown Vernor's factory, the Hotel Norton, the Veterans Memorial Building, and Mariners' Church are also in view. Two helicopters are on the lawn along the river behind the Veterans Memorial Building.
