One black and white photograph showing a new seawall under construction along the Chicago River. The photo shows steel bracing along the back side of a new seawall that has not yet been backfilled with earth. Old timber pilings and debris can be seen along the embankment at the left side of the photo and a crane barge can be seen on the river at the right side. A typewritten label near the lower right corner reads "Time, Inc., FC 1201, October 24, 1963, Steel Sheet Pile Bulkhead, General View Showing Sheeting." A black ink stamp on the verso reads "Calumet Studio, Arthur P. Stalla, SO 8-1951, Reorder No. FS6329."
