The photo shows a port side view of the tugboat which is underway in fair weather on the St. Lawrence River. One crewmen can be seen on the upper deck in front of the bridge and two others are standing on the lower port side deck. A shoreline is visible in the far background. A printed label beneath the photo reads "Tug Sachem." The photo has a wide tan matte border with a narrow black matte inner border and is mounted in a dark brown wood frame along with protective glass. A typewritten label on the verso reads "Sachem, 1956, Ogdensborg [Ogedensburg], N.Y.," and "Captain: Roger Stall, Sec. Dec. [Second Deck Officer]: Jim Jacobson."
