One black and white photograph of construction work that is underway for the new Civic Center redevelopment project in downtown Detroit. The view looks northward across the west side of the recently-relocated Mariners' Church and shows a new underground parking garage that is under construction. Steel rebar and workmen can be seen in the foreground and the new foundation of Mariners' Church is visible at the right side of the photo. A new concrete wall can be seen in the center background. The Jefferson Avenue side of the new City-County Building (now the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center) can be seen in the upper left background.
