One black and white photograph of an African-American woman posing at the base of the Spirit of Detroit statue that is located at the entrance to the City-County Building (now the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center) in Detroit. The view looks southeastward and shows landscaping in the lower foreground. In the left background, the woman is standing on the white marble base between the splayed kneeling legs of the statue. A parked car, office buildings, and a sign for Robin Hood Flour can be seen in the right background.
