Black and white photograph the framed full-length portrait painting of Louis Phélypeaux, comte de Pontchartrain by Kenneth Newell Avery. In the painting, the subject is standing with his right hand on a table and his left holds a scroll. The leg of the table has a face carved into it at the top, near where Pontchartrain rests his hand. He is wearing a robe with long, fluffy hair. A greyhound dog stands to his left, with his nose near the sleeve of Pontchartrain's robe. "Count Pontchartrain- 29.12-1 by Kenneth Avery. #1511-72, graded, 1963," is handwritten on the verso. A Press Picture Service of 2033 Woodward Avenue stamp is on the verso.
