Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring differing Nu Hue Paint Colors sold at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Differing color matching techniques are featured and include matching to a painting, a bibelot, a vase or a chair. Images of actual color matching occurrences are featured on either side of the display. A large paint pallet is featured on the left side of the window and reads, "At the Drop of the Hat, Hudson's Can Match and Mix to Perfection, 1,000 Color in Paint, Available in Flat, Semi-Gloss, and Enamel Finishes, Hudson's Color Bar, Tenth Floor, Farmer." A second sign is also visible in the right rear display, and reads, "Nu-Hue Paint quickly mixed to your order in one or more of 1,000 shades at the Nu Hue Color Bar, Tenth Floor." Printed on the bottom of the recto is the date, photographic sequence number, and the photographer's name, 2-11-47; 22753-x; Davis B. Hillmer."
