Black and white photographic print of the "Five Paintings of Frederick E. Cohen," displayed in the Jewish Life and Culture in Detroit exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum. Signage affixed to the display and between the two paintings reads, "William Barclay, This typical portrait by Frederick E. Cohen was painted in 1847, showing William Barclay in his uniform as chief of the Detroit Volunteer Fire Department. It was given by the Detroit-Fire Department to the Detroit Historical Museum in 1953. Reading the Premiums at the First State Fair, This painting by Frederick E. Cohen depicts the distributions of premiums at the first State Fair given by the State Agricultural Society. Among the portraits shown are those of Lewis Cass, Zachariah Chandler, and Daniel J. Campau. It was first owned by Daniel J. Campau and was given to the Burton Historical Collection in 1928. Loan of the Burton Historical Collection."
