Featured in the display are varying animals one would see at the zoo, including a giraffe, who is standing next to the zoo keeper; a lion if featured behind the ornamented iron fence, and a monkey hangs from the tree. A mural of other zoo animals and buildings on site is visible in the background. Signage affixed to the tree trunk reads, "Visit Your Friendly Detroit Zoo." Also, signage hangs from the fence and reads, "Come One, Come All! Bring the kiddies to the DETROIT ZOO, Open Thursday, May 6... Fun for the Whole Family!"
