Print. Black and white photographic print of a public service window display for Michigan State Parks at the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A mother and her two children are featured having a picnic at a picnic-table, including a picnic-basket with assorted items to take with you including dinnerware, and serving dishes. A large map with twelve differing site numbered and labeled is featured in the background of the display. Signage below the map reads, "Let's Have a Picnic at One of Our Own State Parks." The mural on the right side of the display features a serene locale, whereas the mural on the left features a smoggy city, signage affixed reads, "Your Parks, Within a radius of thirty-five to sixty-five miles of downtown Detroit are twelve beautiful Michigan State Parks. Picturesque lakes and streams, scenic hills, woods and open spaces, blend to make these thousands of acres highly attractive.
