Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display celebrating the marriage of Her Royal Highness Princess Elizabeth II and Prince Philip of Greece at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. The image in the background depicts the wedding of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1840. Images of the princess and prince are featured in the left foreground including the royal crest above, signage below reads, "Royal Wedding, One 20th November H.R.H. The Princess Elizabeth, Heir Presumptive to the Throne, marries Lt. Philip Mountbatten, R.N., descendant of the male line of the Royal House of Denmark. The Royal Consort, now a British subject, is the son of Prince Andrew of Greece and Princess Alice of Battenberg. Educated in Britain he served throughout the war with the Royal Navy." Also, images of Dr. Geoffrey Fisher, Archbishop of Canterbury, and Westminster Abby are featured on the right side of the display. Signage in the right-central foreground reads, "Congratulations to H.R.H. Princess Elizabeth and Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, Thursday, November 20." Also, the date, photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "11-18-47; 22974-3x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B.
