One cabinet card photograph of James H. Donaldson of Detroit. The photo shows a head and upper torso image of a middle-aged man. He has short, dark-colored hair, a moustache and mutton chops beard. He is wearing a dark suit coat that has a houndstooth check pattern, a white shirt with an upturned collar, and a dark-colored cravat. An embossed stamp at the bottom right corner of the photo shows the name, "J. E. Watson." Black printed text near the bottom edge of the card reads "J. E. Watson, 41 and 43 Monroe Ave." Handwritten black ink text on the verso reads "James H. Donaldson, about 1870."
(Note: A check of the photographer's address in the city directories indicates that the photo was taken in about 1880.)
