A typewritten label on the verso reads "Lafayette School Shelter, Lincoln Park, May 12, 1956," and "Mrs. Herman Wolff, Mrs. Samuel Megantz, Mrs. Harold Hoyt." A second typewritten label reads "On May 12, 1956, Allen Park - Lincoln Park were struck by a small tornado. No major damage to homes. Red Cross assisted in rebuilding a family-owned small business."
