One black and white photograph of the hydraulic (suction) dredge, ALABAMA, of the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company. The photo shows a starboard quarter view of the vessel which is at work on a canal widening project near Louisville, Kentucky. A shoreline and canal are visible in the foreground. An electrical substation and transmission towers can be seen on the opposite shoreline in the background. A floating discharge pipeline can be seen off the transom of the dredge. An adhesive label on the verso has typewritten text that reads "March, 1960, 22" dredge Alabama working on canal widening at Louisville, Ky."
