One black and white photograph that shows a close-up view of welded seam on a steel pipeline. Reference numbers are written in white chalk on the pipeline on each side of the weld. The pipeline was part of the Lakehead Pipeline crossing of the Straits of Mackinac. The project work was being done by the Merritt-Chapman & Scott Corporation. A black ink stamp on the verso reads "Collins Construction Co., Submarine Pipeline Specialists, Victoria, Texas. If you wish to reorder from this print, please ask for # ---, Collins Construction Co., Photo Dept." An adjacent black ink stamp shows the date, "Jul. 2, 1953."
