Print. Black and white photographic print of a large commemorative plaque honoring Hudsonians in World War II. Two griffins flank the top of the plaque, and it is inscribed, "This tablet is erected in honor of employees of the J.L. Hudson Company who, in World War II, served with courage and devotion to preserve the dignity and liberty of our nation. We dedicate this tablet to all Hudsonians who placed the security of America above all and helped achieve final victory, August 14, 1945." The names of Hudsonians are listed in alphabetical order; those who died in combat at notated with a star before the name. The photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "22880; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
