Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display at the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A large mural in the rear of the display features two ladies dressed in military uniform walking down a gangway; ships on calm and rough seas are featured in the mural; signage for the United States Coast Guard behind them. Signage affixed to the platform of the gangway reads, "Serve your country in your country; Join the NAVY WAVES ... SPARS, Release a man to fight at sea. Apply 9th Floor Book Building, Washington Blvd." Signage for the Waves and Spars flanks the gangway, also featured are images of a Spar Ensign and Officers marching. The photographic sequence number and the photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "18775-2x; Davis B. Hillmer."
