Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display at the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Three male mannequins are dressed (from left to right) in United States Marine Corps uniforms of an officer, an enlistee, and a service uniform with pith helmet; each features different rankings which are noted on the sleeves of the uniforms. Each mannequin holds paper work for a Japanese Hunting License in the left hand. A larger copy of the license is featured in the display, below the insignia of the USMC. Images of the UMSC are affixed to the left and right sides of the display featuring the men partaking in their military duties. Signage at the lower central foreground of the display reads, from left to right, "Join the U.S. Marine Reserve, For Full Information Apply 250 New Federal Building, Detroit Mich.; Men, 17 to 30, who want immediate service for the duration of the national emergency, with the same pay, promotions, and advantages as those available to regular marines, should learn about the opportunities offered."
