The advertisement reads, "Back up the Men and Women Who are Fighting For You! Join the Gallant Sixty Thousand, Pledged to see $60,000,000 worth of extra war bonds in April. Are you one of the thousands of patriotic Detroiters who are eager to do more to help win the war? Here's your opportunity! The Second War Loan (to be announced in a few days) will as America for Thirteen Billion Dollars! There's a tremendous job to be done! You can help sell these bonds. You can enroll in Michigan's Gallant Sixty Thousand - every one pledged to do his level best to sell at least $1,000 worth of bonds in April. Be ready to volunteer! Help put America's Second War Loan over the top! This appeal sponsored by Detroit's Retail Merchants." Smaller signage neighboring the advertisement reads, "They give their lives... Also, signage is affixed in the bottom of the foreground and reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds, Immediate Deliver War Bonds 11th Floor, Woodward Section D."
