Behind the gun, to the right, a ladder can be seen leading into the trench. To the left of the cannon is part of a bare tree. The card's recto is labeled "A164" in the lower right corner, and the lower left corner features a circular mark which reads, "R-T-O, 310-602, ENG'R'S." The verso is unused.
