Negative, Glass-plate

MAJOR on River St. Clair

Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the starboard side of the freighter MAJOR, under steam along the St. Clair River. Two figures are on the flying bridge, and a group is gathered near the aft cabin. A church and several other structures along a tree-lined shoreline are visible in the background. "24S- -9 - #2," was handwritten on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
