Monochromatic glass plate negative of a two masted sailing ship, presumably the BROWN BELLE, under sail taken from off of its starboard quarter. Two figures in a small boat are visible off of the schooner's port bow, and a house stands on the tree-lined shore in the background. "Brown Boat," was handwritten on the envelope which previously held the negative.
