Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the bow and starboard side of the passenger steamer CHESTER B. JONES, under tow by an out-of-frame vessel and with a deck-load of lumber. Two figures are at on the forecastle of the JONES, and another stands outside of its aft cabin. A Pioneer Steamship Company freighter and several small buildings along a tree-lined shore are visible in the background.
