Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the starboard side of the freighter WILLIAM LIVINGSTONE, under steam. A figure stands on the promenade outside the pilot house. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "Livingstone Channel first official opening Oct. 12, 1912," was handwritten on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
