Negative, Glass-plate

Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the bow and port side of the Gilchrist Transportation Company freighter R.L. IRELAND, under steam. Four figures stand along the railing on the main deck, while another stands outside of the aft cabin. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "Gilchrist Trans. renamed SIRIUS, 1913, Interlake S.S.," was handwritten on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
