Negative, Glass-plate

Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the starboard side of the Great Lakes Steamship Company freighter CHARLES HUBBARD, under steam. A man stands toward the front of the main deck. The Milwaukee-Western Steamship Company freighter MANCHESTER has just passed off the HUBBARD's starboard side, and its stern in on the left edge of frame. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. "1845," was handwritten on the non-archival envelope which previously held the plate.
