Negative, glass-plate. Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the bow and port side of the L.C. Smith Transit Company freighter HARRY COULBY, under steam. A crew member is washing or painting the canopy around the pilot house. A church on a tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background.
The non-archival envelope the plate was previously housed in included the handwritten note, "L.C. Smith, Blt 1906 renamed Finland 1927."
