Black and white negative taken at the 1965 Spirit of Detroit Race on the Detroit River of NOTRE DAME, driven by Rex Manchester, at rest in the water, probably just after a heat of racing. At the left edge of the picture is BLUE CHIP, which was driven by Fred Alter, with a crew member standing on the deck. NOTRE DAME finished third overall in the race and BLUE CHIP finished fifth.
