One digital scan of a black and white photograph which shows a Detroit Fire Department aerial truck being used to fight a fire at the J & J Patent Medicine store during the 1967 Detroit Riot. The image was taken at dusk and shows a fireman in an aerial bucket. He is directing water onto the roof of the darkened store which was located on Joy Road at American Avenue. Large puddles of water can be seen on the street in the foreground.
