Digital scan of a sepia-toned photo along the eastern side of Randolph Street north from Franklin Street, showing the construction site for the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel and its terminal. A tractor is on the corner. Behind it is a group of workers. A crane belong to the Mark R. Hanna Company is beside the excavation on the west side of the street. Construction materials and equipment are scattered about. The building on the northwest corner of Randolph and Woodbridge Street stands in the background, and The Barlum Hotel, Barlum Tower, and the Water Board Building are visible further in the distance. "Detroit & Canada Tunnel - Section 5; Looking North in Randolph Street, from Franklin Street. April 19, 1929, 8B-59," was handwritten on the verso.
