Notes
"I call my new series of drawings, "PICTURE DETROIT". I see Detroit as being in the midst of a wonderful change and I cannot run fast enough to catch up in appreciation of what has been here and what is becoming here. I find the Classics in my own backyard and the Future in my front.

I was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, 1949 and have been a resident of Metropolitan Detroit since. My interest in art began with the influence of my grandmother, Grace Anderson, an Art/Music teacher in St. Clair Shores. My formal art ecucation began early at Cranbrook and Dondero High. Later I studeied at U. of M; Pratt Institute, N.Y.; and The Center for Creative Studies, there, I majored in Advertising Design and Printmaking. My grandfather, Captain Charles Anderson of the Bob-Lo boats collected many of the photographs that I use for sketches of Old Detroit."
