One fishing rod with a metal shaft (in 3 sections) as well as a cork and nickel silver hand grip. The shaft is painted black. The sections are all contained in a brown cloth case that has black cotton ties. Engraved text above the cork grip reads "Samson Steel Rod, Union Hardware Co., Torrington, Conn., U.S.A.".
