Ring, Life
One life ring from the passenger steamship, SS PUT-IN-BAY, of the Ashley-Dustin Line. The life ring is made of cork which has been covered with heavy canvas that has been painted white. It has a 30-inch outside diameter and a 17-inch diameter inside opening. Painted black lettering on one side shows "PUT-IN-BAY" and "AD [Ashley-Dustin Line]." The life ring has a large loop of braided manila rope along the outer perimeter which has been attached to the ring with four bands of white canvas in order to form four short grab loops.
