Detroit Riverfront, Moonlight Cruise on the Steamer, Ste. Claire in 1929
One framed, limited edition (86/500) color reproduction print of a painting of the Detroit riverfront at night in 1929. The print shows the excursion steamer, Ste. Claire, moored at the dock at the foot of Woodward Avenue under a bright moonlit sky. Passengers are standing on the ship decks while others are standing near the ticket booth on shore. Another steamer is visible on the Detroit River in the background and the Windsor shoreline can be seen in the far left background. Printed black script text along the center lower edge shows the title, "Detroit Riverfront, Moonlight Cruise on the Steamer, Ste. Claire in 1929." The artist has signed his name, "[Paul] Gillan," in the lower right corner. The print is held in a plain black wood frame with a charcoal gray matte border and protective glass.
