Plate, Dinner
One dinner plate from the dining room of the Book-Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. The round plate is made of white glazed china. It has a flat, slightly-upturned rim and a rounded outer edge. The entire rim is painted dark blue and has a single gold-colored stamp which depicts the crown/shield emblem of the hotel. The underside of the plate is stamped with a small green oval-shaped crown/lion manufacturer's logo along with small green printed text that reads "Royal Bavarian China," and "Hutschenreuther, Selb, Bavaria." The number, "29," is printed in gold-colored text to the left of the manufacturer's logo and stamped text to the right shows the number, "2304." Additional small blue printed text reads "Made in 1924 for The Book Cadillac," and "Furnished by Albert Pick & Co., Chicago."
