Plate, Dessert
One dessert plate from the dining room of the tanker, SS Beaumont Parks, of the Standard Oil Company of Indiana. The round plate is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It has a flat, slightly-upturned rim and a thickened outer edge. A decorative green band, consisting of a lily of the valley floral and leaf pattern, encircles the plate along the outer edge of the rim. The company name, "Standard Oil Co., Indiana," is stamped in green script text on one area of the rim beneath the decorative band. The underside is stamped with a seated Indian logo and green text that reads "Shenango China, New Castle, PA."
