Painting of an aerial view of the Detroit Boat Club on Belle Isle. The painting shows the Boat Club with a view to the northeast. Numerous sailing vessels and row boats are in the Detroit River and automobiles are parked in the parking lot on Belle Isle. Signed "- Judson Ross - '37" on the bottom left. Text on the matte beneath the painting reads "Detroit Boat Club Established 1839." A handwritten inscription on the frame backing reads "Merry Christmas, 1938, 'Pat' & Jolly Pattison, from Judson Ross." The painting is mounted in a narrow wood frame that is painted in a flat red color.

Text on the back of the mounting reads "Copied by Forster Studio Date 2-6-38 No. 1380."
