A man, a dog, and a figure in a horse-drawn carriage are on the road that runs along the shore. Piers extend from the shore into the Detroit River. A sailboat is docked beside a building in the background. "Detroit River, below Windsor, Canada, Rett[?] and 1. Sunday, June 1881," is handwritten on the verso.
