Yankcanuck

One souvenir coffee mug which features the self unloader, MV Yankcanuck, of the Algoma Steel Corporation. The mug is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It is cylindrical in shape with vertical sides, a rounded top edge, a flat bottom, and a plain rectangular handle on the side. On one side of the mug, a black and white, square image is printed that shows a starboard side view of the ship which is underway in fair weather. Black text beneath the image reads "Yankcanuck." Black printed text on the opposite side of the mug reads "M.V. Yankcanuck, Algoma Steel Corporation, Length 325' - Beam 49' - Depth 26', Tonnage 4,550 - Horsepower 1,900 - Built 1963," and "Copyright 1984 Wiersma & Associates." Raised text on the underside reads "Kiln Craft, Staffordshire, England."
