Dress

One lady's brown wool gabardine dress. The unlined dress is of a tubular style that hangs to mid-calf. It has a plain, round neckline, long sleeves, pockets at the sides, and an attached belt across the back waist. A decorative front panel has vertical bands with an embroidered silver/gray braid pattern that have been sewn onto a light brown wool fabric backing. Snap closures are located along the underside of the left edge of the panel from the neckline to the waist. The hem, cuffs, and pockets are trimmed with similar embroidered bands that are arranged horizontally. A long row of fabric-covered buttons is sewn down the center front of the dress and the same style buttons are also used for decoration on the cuffs and pockets. In addition, brown mink has been used for edging on the pockets. The dress comes with a separate collar (missing) which consists of a whole mink that is lined in light brown wool and fastens with clips. No manufacturer's labels are shown.
