Dress

Woman's summer cocktail dress. The dress is made of a polished cotton print fabric with bright red geranium blossoms on an off-white background. It has been finished with both machine and hand details. The dress has a fitted bodice of a shirtwaist style with cap raglan sleeves and a scoop neckline with appliques of flowers in a matching print. The skirt (30" waist, 26" length) has pressed pleats except in the middle section. A detachable sash is also included. The center back has a zipper with a hook and eye closure and appliqued flowers above the zipper. Label: Attributed to workshops of Walton-Pierce of Grosse Pointe.
