Dress

Woman's handmade blue/green taffeta dress. The dress has a fitted bodice, high neck, narrow pointed lace collar, plain long sleeves, a round waist, and black cloth-covered buttons down the front. Narrow bands of black satin are used for trim on the cuffs. The full-length skirt has a wide ruffle along the bottom edge with a band of black satin above the ruffle. The overskirt has a cut-away front, is gathered in back, has long panniers over the hips, and a short bustle cover. The overskirt and bustle cover are trimmed along the edges with bands of black satin that have decorative box pleats. The dress is lined with brown cotton fabric and green paper cambric.
