Pen and ink sketch by John Gelsavage, depicting Fort Pontchartrain du Détroit from an aerial point of view, including its stockade, homes, waterfront, Ste. Anne's Church, and surrounding farms. Several people are visible in the scene, and rows of canoes are beached around, or disembarking from the docks. The drawing is signed, "John Gelsavage 1951." The print is mounted on cardstock, and includes a border with several handwritten measurements, and the note, "477M- Det. Historical Society."
