Dish, Relish
One relish dish from a passenger steamship dining room of the Clover Leaf Steamboat Line. The oval-shaped dish is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a 1.25-inch wide sloped rim, a decorative rounded top edge, and a flat bottom. Decorative narrow green lines and bands encircle the top edge of the rim. An image of the company burgee is stamped at the center of one of the long sides of the dish. The underside is stamped with a small crown logo and dark green text that reads "H & Co., Selb, Bavaria," as well as "Burley & Co., Chicago," and "Made in Germany, Colors Underglaze, 13."
