Decanter

One glass decanter from the Detroit 250th Anniversary celebration in 1951. The decanter is made of iridescent red molded glass with vertical seams on opposite sides. It has a long neck with a thickened top rim, decorative horizontal bands, and a gently-curved top section that has a raised glass image of grape bunches and leaves. The vertical sides of the lower section are tapered slightly inward at the base which has two rounded horizontal bands. A pale yellow anniversary emblem on the side has text that reads "Detroit, 1701-1951" and "250th Birthday Festival." Narrow horizontal paint stripes encircle the decanter just above and below the emblem. The decanter includes a matching removable glass stopper.
