Candlestick

One crude wooden candlestick. It has one piece of wood with one candleholder on each side that screws onto the central pole. It was fashioned from an old wagon hub and the upper part has a center portion that was made to raise or lower. The three legs are removable.

The candlestick was made by Charles Lahser of Redford about 1878. He was a wagonmaker, in business from 1860 to 1895. This candlestick was used by John Park, general blacksmith and horseshoer in Redford from 1878 to 1884.
