One handheld "8 mm, 134 Camera" made by "Bell & Howell" of Chicago. The camera has a gray/green metal body with brushed metal fittings. The bottom of the case has a simple grip for the thumb and forefinger as well as a threaded attachment knob for a wrist strap. The right side of the body has a folding winding key which loads an internal spring mechanism in order to drive the film reel at a set speed for a short period of time. An adjacent adjusting dial allows for filming speeds of 8, 16, 24, or 32 frames per second. A pinhole viewfinder is located at the back of the camera. The left side of the camera body has a release button and hinged panel for loading film. A film exposure index gauge is mounted on the outside of the body. The front of the camera includes an adjustable aperture lens, viewfinder, and film start/stop button. An empty film reel is located inside the film compartment. A serial number inside the film compartment shows "G27959." The camera has an accompanying semi-rigid, brown leather "Bell & Howell" carrying case with a neck strap and spring clasp on the front cover.
